great start to the series

Levi - Bailey Bradford
Independent reviewer for Divine Magazine, I was gifted my copy of this book. After a week of family 'fun' Levi needs his run, to let off steam. When he finds himself under a cougar, Levi finds himself fulfilling some deep fantasy. But when done, the MAN, Lyndon, runs away and Levi is left bereft. Running is all Lyndon has done for some time. Maybe, he'll stick around town for Levi. But Lyndon's past follows and soon, Levi is put in danger and Lyndon will fight for his mate. I have a soft spot for alternative shifters (anything other than wolves, really!) and this is a great little book that certainly fits the bill. Levi and Lyndon's first coming together is powerful, with neither being able to fight the pull but its not til later, that the word is banded about, mate. Its there, bubbling below the surface for much of the book though, you can just feel it. You can feel the emotions that both Lyndon and Levi has for each other, when they come together again, and my heart broke for Lyndon when he was telling his story to Levi's family. I didn't get who was following Lyndon til it was revealed in the book, indeed, I thought he was imagining it all at first! And it really did have to end the way it did, or Lyndon would never be safe. Not overly complicated and a great, relatively short (couple hours) read that passed the time nicely. Too long for a hang over cure though. And Oscar, Levi's little brother is next. It will be interesting, not least because of what Oscar does here, but Oscar is the youngest brother, and I don't much care for characters of a young age. But we'll see. Oscar is quite a character here. 4 solid stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**
